Aava's Draw

1.5 kilometers. Aava’s Draw connects the Upper Antoine Loop to the 150. It’s a lovely trail, though steep, and alternates between trees and open views. If coming from Goshawk, turn left at the junction of the 150. Aava’s Draw is a short ski from there on the right.

The name Aava’s Draw came about at an annual ski club meeting. It is club tradition to give the privilege of naming new trails to a person who worked on the trail and whose name is drawn from a hat. One of our founding members (and a past president) had worked many times on every trail in the park, but had never won the draw. At this meeting, nine-year-old skier Aava pulled out his name and he in turn named the trail for the act. The draw the trail follows will be forever known as Aava’s.
